thanks for the help though B Bobby17772 Member 7 oh no I meant the nut thats on top. I still dont understand why you wont just get a proper ecu and injectors and forget about all this silly stuff. the fmu is a safety for more fuel in boost. So, I dont know where the people you talk to get their information, it seems lik you need a more solid understanding of how the factory fuel system works before you start trying to make these decisions. a turbo DSM, the injector resistor box from an 88-91 fuel injected Honda. An FMU is a really inelegant solution to a very simple problem. Engine Swaps, Tech & Tuning - Vortech FMU reliability - Would the Vortech. Keep in mind that a stock injector will likely fail over time somewhere around 100 psi. you get up to 2 psi, the fmu will increase the base pressure to 60 psi. say you have a 10:1 FMU and your not in boost and say your base pressure is 40 psi, the fmu does nothing. If you increase the base pressure you will shift the fueling richer everywhere.Īn FMU is sort of like an FPR, except that it uses boost reference to increase fuel pressure on a scale. im looking to get a fmu (fuel pressure regulator) for it but what ratio should i get i see there is a couple to choose from. Was just curious because I want to install my turbo but still have stock injectors. Anyway since you asked,Īn adjustable fpr changes your base pressure, which effectively changes your injector size, its a static increase. my friend is going to turbo his 93' civic with the 1.5 sohc motor. Scion tC 1G Forced Induction - FMU - Was just curious to find out. Seriously, you are goign about this in the wrong way.
